To apply for housing, follow the step-by-step instructions below. If you need assistance, please contact a member of our residence staff.

New and first-time housing applications can take up to two weeks to process.

We strongly encourage you to submit all necessary documents and complete all required steps as early as possible.

This will ensure your application for room assignments is processed on time.

 

New and First-Time Student Housing Application Process

STEP 1

APPLY TO BECOME A BULLDOG

Apply for Admission*

Complete your Navarro College admission application. Visit applytexas.org to get started.

Apply for Financial Aid

  • Use code 003593 when applying through www.fafsa.gov.

  • Fall semester priority deadline: June 1st

  • Submit all required financial aid documents on Self-Service.

Apply for Scholarships

Apply for Navarro College scholarships. Visit scholarships.navarrocollege.edu for more details.

Submit Official Transcripts*

Submit a sealed official, final high school and/or college transcripts to the Office of Admissions. 

Submit Assessment Scores*

Students must take state-approved placement tests and submit test scores to the Office of Registrar. For more details, visit the Testing Center website.

Submit Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Records*

All first-time students attending Navarro College, including transfer students will be required to show evidence of vaccination against bacterial meningitis. Submit record to the Office of Admissions.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Meet with your College Career & Success Coach for course registration.

Visit the Academic Advising website

Student Course Load

  • A minimum of 15 semester credit hours is required for Housing students to live in dorms.

  • Pre-registration for classes start on April 7, 2025.

  • Priority deadline for Housing students closes on Friday, August 1, 2025.

 

STEP 3

APPLY FOR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING

After You Apply for Admission

To ensure your application is considered, please complete both the admissions and enrollment processes. Once admitted and enrolled, you will receive both an email and a text message containing a link to the Housing application.

Complete Housing Application

The link to the Housing application will be sent to your Navarro College email, personal email/phone number you provided on your Navarro College Admission application.

IMPORTANT! If you did not receive the link, please verify your admission status by contacting the Office of Admissions.

Housing Deposit

  • Submit a $240 housing deposit to complete your housing application. ($10 is non-refundable for background check fee.)

  • A confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address indicated on your housing application.

Background Check

To be approved for housing:

1.  Pass a background check. (Background check results vary according to residency. Out-of-state students may take up to 5-7 business days).

2. Enroll in 15 semester credit hours or more

Complete Required Documents

Once approved, a room assignment will be designated.

1. A letter with your building, room, and roommate's contact information (if granted by the roommate), check-in date and times, and important information will be sent to your Navarro College email address.

2. Log into Self-Service, click User Options, Required Agreements, and complete your Room and Board Agreement.

3. Read and electronically sign the Navarro College Housing Residence Contract available on housing.navarrocollege.edu and click on the Housing Contract.

1. Priority Room and Board Payment deadline is August 1, 2025.

2. Cost of Attendance (Based on My3Flex meal plan): $3,900.

Purchase Property Insurance (Optional)

Consider  purchasing property insurance to protect your belongings. Students are free to choose their own insurance carrier for personal property coverage.

STEP 8

MOVE-IN INFORMATION

Check your Navarro College email from the Bursar for a FASTPASS Clearance during these dates:  August 16-20, 2025.

Move-In Dates

Housing Move-in Dates:  August 21-22, 2025

Semester Starts

Classes start on Monday,  August 25, 2025

 

 

STEP 9

HOUSING CHECK-IN

REQUIRED

FASTPASS

  • If you have a FASTPASS, please report to the Gibson Hall Gym to get your keys.

  • If you don't have a FASTPASS, please report to the Cashier's Office located at the GOOCH Building (One-Stop Student Center).

Parking Sticker

  • To order your parking sticker, log onto Self-Service, click on User Options, and complete the Vehicle Registration form.

  • After you submit the Vehicle Registration form, go to the Welcome Desk located at the GOOCH Building (One-Stop Student Center) to pick up your parking sticker. You must show the Welcome Desk your FASTPASS or clearance slip.

Student ID

To get your student ID, show the Welcome Desk, located at GOOCH Building (One-Stop Student Center), your FASTPASS or clearance slip.

Purchase Textbook and Supplies

Visit the bookstore or order online.

The base price for books is $1,761. (This may vary depending on the course and/or program the student is enrolled in.)

1. Housing students can charge financial aid at the bookstore starting on August 16, 2025 through August 29, 2025 by 2pm.
