Will Navarro College offer face-to-face courses in the Summer and Fall?

Navarro College will offer hybrid and online courses in the Summer. Hybrid students will be notified by their instructors on when and how their class will meet on campus.

Fall courses will be offered in traditional face-to-face, hybrid and online methods. To control on-campus presence and classroom density, class times and rooms may be changed.

      Does re-opening include proctored exams?

We will not have any proctored exams for the duration of the summer.

Some colleges and universities have adapted their Fall schedules following the Thanksgiving holiday. What are Navarro College’s plans following Thanksgiving?

Navarro College’s leadership team continues to monitor the pandemic and receives input on a daily basis from community health and safety partners. As the situation is fluid, Navarro College will delay a decision until later in the fall regarding plans following Thanksgiving.

If classes were to convert to an online, remote format, Navarro College will continue to offer campus services, including housing, food services, and academic resources. Please note that tuition and mandatory fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be prorated or refunded.

How will Navarro College enforce social distancing in the classroom?

To accommodate social distancing requirements classrooms may be rearranged, desks or tables taped off in order to allow space between students.

Should I enroll in both 8-week sessions at once?

Yes. Navarro College advises students to enroll in both 8-week sessions at once, especially if they are using financial aid. Students should contact their academic advisor or financial aid advisor if they plan to make changes to their schedule.

Will my financial aid be impacted by taking 8-week courses?

No. Current financial aid practices will remain the same and financial aid is still awarded based upon the number of credits a student takes per semester. As a result, Navarro College recommends that students register for all their courses (including 16 week, first and second 8-week terms) prior to the start of the semester.

Will Navarro College offer pass/no-pass grading during the Summer or Fall?

Navarro College will not offer pass/no-pass grading during the Summer or Fall 2020 semester.

If conditions require the College to convert all instruction to an online format, will students receive refunds?

Tuition and mandatory fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be prorated or refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year.
