      At Navarro College, we know that a safe campus environment and quality physical and mental health are among the most important factors that contribute to your academic success in college. Below you will find a number of services on campus that promotes the safety, physical, and mental wellness of our students.

      WATCHDOG ALERT (EMERGENCIES & ALERTS)

      Whether it's a severe weather occurence or an important health or safety notice, we will make every effort to inform you of emergency situations on campus. Typically, we'll distribute emergency alerts via a number of methods, including emails, automated voice messages, text messages, and notices on our website.

      BULLDOG HEALTH CENTER (CORSICANA CAMPUS)

      Whether you're sick, injured or simply need preventive care, NC's Bulldog Health Center is available to assist you with your medical needs. The Bulldog Health Center is staffed by the Medical Associates of Navarro County.

      CAMPUS SAFETY

      At NC, we strive to maintain a safe learning environment for our students, faculty and staff. The Department of Campus Safety provides a number of services to promote a safer campus community, including continuous officer patrols, late-night safety escorts, lock-out assistance, jumpstarts and more. Our first responders have law enforcement training and the experience needed to keep this community safe.

      COUNSELING SERVICES

      Sometimes the demands of college life can be stressful or overwhelming. When you need someone to talk to or a place to turn for guidance, NC's Counseling Center can help. We offer a number of services to help you achieve academic success, as well as personal, social, and emotional growth. Our licensed counselor is a TBHI Certified Telebehavioral Health Professional.

      DRUG FREE SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES ACT (DFSCA)

      The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) of 1989 - also known as the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act - requires institutions of higher education to establish policies that address unlawful possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and illicit drugs. The DFSCA also requires the establishment of a drug and alcohol prevention program.
