Vocational Nursing Program Pre-Admission Requirements
The Vocational Nursing Program admits students each fall semester. Enrollment is limited and program requirements must be met in order to be eligible. Admission to Navarro College does not guarantee admission to the LVN Program.
To qualify for an application to the program, the applicant must meet general program admission requirements
REQUIRED |
DETAILS |
Apply to Navarro College
|
Must apply for admission to Navarro College or be a current / former student at Navarro. Proof can be provided with a copy of the acceptance letter, copy of the NC degree plan, or a copy of the NC transcript. |
ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) |
Take the TEAS test and score the required score in Reading - MINIMUM 59.9 to be eligible in the NC LVN program. The ATI TEAS is designed specifically to assess a student's preparedness entering the health science fields. Most likely, you've been asked to take the TEAS as part of your basic admissions requirements for nursing or allied health school. That's because studies show a consistent link between a student's performance on the TEAS and future academic success. *To be eligible for admission, students applying for the NC LVN program MUST score the required score in Reading - be within seven (7) points of the National Mean for Vocational Nurses. |
Information Session (Required) |
Must attend Information Session to download an application for admission to the LVN program. Information Sessions regarding entrance into the Vocational Nursing program are held beginning in the fall semester and continuing through early spring semester each year. |
